pynetdesign.modelling.utils.get_scaling_displacement(amps_type, f)

Get scaling coefficient(s) to convert to the amplitudes to displacement provided the type of original amplitudes and the frequency (or array of frequencies). If f is an array and is used for computation of scaling, output is also an array of the same size.

Parameters:

amps_typestr

Type of amplitudes, can be ‘displacement’, ‘velocity’, ‘acceleration’, ‘strain rate’, ‘strain’.

ffloat or np.ndarray

Frequency or array of frequencies.

Returns:

scalingfloat or np.ndarray

Resulting scaling coefficient.

Raises:

ValueError

If amps_type is not one of the supported types.
